  1.                    MAINTENANCE OF THE KERATOMETER

  4. The most common maintenance that must be 
  5. done is replacement of the bulb.  The bulb is 
  6. located in the housing under the front of the 
  7.                                                  main body of the 
  8.                                                  instrument.

  18.                                                     To remove the housing, turn the main body   
  19.                                                     of the instrument to the side and loosen the  
  20.                                                     two thumb screws that hold it in place.  Hold
  21.                                                     the housing and remove the bulb.  Replace 
  22.                                                     the bulb, put the housing back and secure it
  23.                                                     with the thumb screws.
